Our Story

Here at Smart Entertainment, our story began in 1999. Since then, we have grown with our customers to deliver market-leading booking solutions for the leisure industry while maintaining a personal touch that has seen us build relationships with our customers over many years.

Meet the Team

Nick Brunt – Director

Nick founded the company in 1999, creating venue management software until 2009 when SMART began to offer online booking solutions. Not only does Nick boast over 30-years programming experience, but he is also an experienced venue manager himself. This background means that he is acutely attuned to the needs of the leisure industry and is passionate about evolving our software to maximise the benefit to your business.

Pete Bennett – Technical Manager

Pete joined the team in 2014 to add an extra dimension to our programming response. He brings over 25-years of programming experience to SMART strengthening our ability to evolve our software to the changing industry.

Natalie Richmond – Business Development Manager

Natalie joined SMART in 2011 as our Business Development Manager. She is passionate about our product and loves to chat with new customers about how we can benefit their business. She is not only a key member of our business expansion but an integral part of bringing business owners in the leisure industry into the online world.

David Lowe – Customer Support Manager & Programmer

David has been a member of our team since 2017. He is now working closely with Pete to enhance our system continuously and oversees all Customer Support. Previously, David solely worked in our Customer Support Team, but now uses that experience to develop the software to our customers’ evolving needs.

Daniel Myatt – Customer Service Manager

Daniel is a recent addition to our expanding team joining in September 2019. He is already a significant part of our team at SMART working as part of our customer support. Daniel is on hand to assist with any queries and help you to discover beneficial features. He is also the person behind our Lunch and Learn initiative, where customers come for a meeting in our office to gain hands-on experience with our solutions.

Samantha Thorley – Office Manager

Samantha is another new member of our team and is working closely with Daniel to maintain our high levels of customer support. She works with our customers to submit, escalate and manage queries and helps to plan and coordinate our training opportunities.


Humphrey – Head of Office Security

Humphrey joined the team in 2013 and has been an integral part of the office since then. He is keen to let us know if anyone is at the door and is always up for lightening up the mood in the office. His favourite part of the role is the walks to the shop at lunchtime.
